About the prospects of Ukrainian-German cooperation spoke during the meeting, which was held at the press center of Zhytomyr City Council on January 22, 2016. The main purpose of the meeting is to discuss the ideas, the initiatives and the projects for the development of an international cooperation opportunities of Zhytomyr.
The event was initiated by Martin Reuther, Coordinator of European Office International Education Cooperation in Education at The Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Anna Opitz, Project Coordinator at the DVV International in Ukraine and ‘The Regional Voices for Democracy’. The organizer of the meeting is the Department of Economic Development of Zhytomyr City Council, the discussion was moderated by the Head of the Department – Mykola Kostrytsya.
The representatives of the local scientific circles attended the event, namely representatives of the Zhytomyr National Agroecological University and the Zhytomyr State Technological University. The civil activists and the experts of the Zhytomyr City Council were the participants of the event.
The Youth NGO ‘Modern Format’ since August 2015 has been cooperating with the DVV International Ukraine within the project ‘Regional Voices for Democracy’.
The meeting turned out fruitful and rich, a few hours participants were able to find common ground for future cooperation. Similar meetings will be held with the aim of further additions as the larger circle of participants and find possible ideas and projects for further cooperation.
