The travelling international festival of documentary films about the human rights Docudays UA was held in Zhytomyr for the 10th time by NGO “Modern Format”.
From the 12th till the 17th of November the visitors had a chance to watch 2 short and 5 long films.
The main topic of the festival had the name “The levels of equality”. The festival was devoted to the social challenges connected to the concept of equality. The organizers suggested the visitors to discuss widely spread stereotypes and define the way to adhere to the equality on practice, after all to measure the levels of equality.
After watching the films the visitors could take part in discussion panels with the experts to get more profound understanding of the film and the idea of the director.
The representative of the film crew Azad Safarov came to Zhytomyr to present the film-observation “The distant barking of dogs” which received the Audience award on the Docudays UA 2018.
The travelling international festival of documentary films about the human rights Docudays UA took place with the support of the Swedish Embassy in Ukraine, the US Embassy in Ukraine and the program Culture Bridges which is funded by the EU and carried out by the British Council in Ukraine partnering with EUNIC – European Union National Institutes of Culture.
