From 8 to 12 November, documentaries will be shown in Zhytomyr within the framework of the “Traveling Festival of Human Rights Documentary Cinema”.
It will be four foreign films that will tell about false convicts, the struggle for women’s rights, the relationship between parents and children and children’s hobbies. There will also be four films by Ukrainian directors about the life of shepherds in the Carpathians, Ukrainian language courses in the East and South of Ukraine, about how journalists fought and kept documents of Yanukovych. Another movie will tell about the Maidan SOS – an initiative that legally supported people during and after the Maidan.
The youth public organization “Modern format” is organizing shows of films of the festival Docudays UA from 2009. Traditionally, after viewing the films, viewers are invited to share their impressions of the subject and the film itself within the framework of discussion.
Most cinema will be shown in this year at 15:00, but the opening and closing of the cinema festival will be held at 7:00.
Entrance on all viewings is free. All films are in the original language, foreign films – with Ukrainian subtitles. Cinema screenings will take place at the “Ukraine” cinema (Kyivska St., 13).
