The Zhytomyr training course “Approaches to creating conditions for pluralistic decision-making processes at the local level” began on October 13-14, 2016. Representatives and representatives of the public sector, local authorities, local authorities and mass media from Zhytomyr and Zhytomyr region participated in the first module “Building a Dialogue at the Local Level – Techniques and Approaches”.
Together with the project coaches Oleg Ovcharenko and Oleksandr Mytkov,participants learned to build a dialogue, to cooperate effectively at the local level and to use traditional and alternative communication tools.
The game “Red and Blue,” in which the teams tried to predict the actions of their colleagues, to agree and fulfill the task set by the trainers, was emotionally and violently. The game testified that people often make decisions irrationally and situationally and emphasize the importance of analyzing the situation. The game “Red and Blue” improves skills in decision making, team play, communication, negotiation and logical thinking. First of all, it was developed and improved many years for managers of business structures.
The regional training course consists of 4 training modules and provides obtaining by participants of a course of new knowledge and practical competences with pluralistic decision-making mechanisms at the local level. The following three modules:
22-22.2016 – Instruments of democratization of local self-government.
18-19.11.2016 – Qualitative local journalism as an engine for dialogue at the local level.
25-26.11.2016 – Strengthening civil society and forms of self-organization at the local level.
The training course is lasted within the framework of the project “Regional Voices – Creating Bridges for Democracy”. The organizer of the training course is the Institute of International Cooperation of the German Association of National Universities (DVV International in Ukraine) with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany. Regional partner in Zhytomyr region is NGO “Modern Format”.
Trainings are held in the ethnographic complex “Ukrainian Village” (1, Dmitrovskaya Street, Buzova village, Kyiv-Svyatoshinsky district, Kyiv region).
