The winners of the all-Ukrainian poster contest “Stop domestic and gender-based violence!” were determined by the NGO “Modern Format“.
There were almost 60 artworks on overcoming domestic violence. Participants from all over Ukraine took part in the competition, both amateurs and professionals.
The competition lasted from February 1 to March 6, but due to the full-scale Russian attack on Ukraine, the evaluation of the works and the results announcement had to be postponed.
The following authors won the competition:
1st place – Maria Fursova (Avdiivka, Donetsk region) “To defeat or to be defeated? The choice is yours”
2nd place – Lilia Neroznak (Cherkasy) “Domestic violence against women”
3rd place – Tikhon Kulakov (Kherson) “Strength is not meant for violence”
The winners will receive money prizes: 1st place – 3 000 UAH, 2nd place – 2 000 UAH, 3rd place – 1 000 UAH
In addition, all participants are to receive encouraging gifts – compact power banks.
Unfortunately, many participants who live in the temporarily occupied territories cannot be contacted. Yet, we will make sure to send them gifts as soon as possible.
The contest was held by the NGO “Modern Format” within the framework of the Information Campaign to Combat Domestic and Gender-Based Violence in Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, which was supported by the Democracy Promotion Fund of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
